Thanks all for the comments!

patrick- Thanks. The caricature is of fellow caricaturist, Kathy Bailey. I was nervous and apologetic when I posted the drawing but she has a good sense of humour. Plus she loved the drawing so much she made it her avatar on the NCN forums.

All's fair in love, war and caricature, I say.

Gonzalo- Great rock'n'roll caricatures, mate! Although the profile link to your blog doesn't work. I eventually found it in a web search, but you might want to fix it.

Yo Chris! Thanks again of that caricature of me, everybody I've shown it to has become instant fans of yours. I hate to plug my own site here, but I posted the one I did of you on my blog (http://artofach.blogspot.com/) though mine really doesnt compare to yours. Keep it up!

Could have sworn that middle one was Dave Collins from the Umbilical Brothers. The bottom one is a bit of a departure for your caricatures. It works really well. Very clean.

i'm droooooooling over these!! i was curious what the ratio is between your traditionally drawn caricatures for the drawing board forums and the digitally drawn ones. my guess is that they're mostly drawn on the computer eh? 99%?? you're so good at this shit that sometimes i can't figure it out no matter how much i stare. this is coming from someone who hasn't had a lot of experience sketching with a tablet. i only have photoshop 7 and a logitech 'thumb' controlled rollerball mouse. i'm serious. :) i have an ancient wacom tablet that's at least a decade old by now given to me by a friend and i'm just not comfortable with it no matter how many times i practice with it. shit flies all over the bloody place. lol... i just give up! :\ maybe one day i'll have the cash to upgrade but it's simply not a priority right now. i think i had a question in here somewhere? thanks chris.

greg- Well it's really the other way around. All the caricatures in the last two entries were hand drawn with pencil and scanned in. Only a small handful (three I can think of off the top of my head) were drawn digitally. I still haven't been able to achieve a lot of the subtle nuances you achieve with a pencil and apply that to wacom drawn work.

But saying that, you should stick it out and try learning to use a tablet, Greg. Apart from drawing they are so invaluable for every other aspect of digital work.

...and thanks for the great comment, greg.

The top one is awesome and a favorite. I would love to see the subjects reaction upon seeing her drawing. Women are funny that way, "Do I realllly look like that?" haha

scott- Thanks!

She seemed quite cool about it. The subject is a caricaturist herself, so she has a good sense of humour.
